The Legislature finished up business yesterday afternoon. Attached is the updated list of the bills- and a good first look at the new laws that are likely coming our way.
I've added a new tab called "New Laws" so you have a quick reference of bills that have become laws. At this point, there are two:
SB 594- requires prevailing wages for demolition or removal of hazardous waste, and
SB 1047- Changes purchasing thresholds, and state DEI changes.
There are five other bills (on the "bills" tab) that passed the legislature but are awaiting the Governor's signature to become law:
SB 1048- ODOT to establish a small business assistance program
HB 2295- Replaces the COBID category of "Service-Disabled Veterans" with "Veteran Owned Business".
HB 2649- Requires outreach plans and apprenticeship requirements for public improvement contracts
HB 3332- "Made in America" iron and steel requirements for State contracts
HB 3572- Creates an optional award preference for benefit companies.
As these get finalized, there will be additional updates for this session.
