2025 Legislative Session Update 5/19/25
Author Last Post

The updated revenue forecast was released last Wednesday and showed a disappointing $500-756 million reduction in anticipated revenue. They did not see a recession in our future, but they did see very slow growth and an aging population. This will make it more difficult to approve bills that have a large fiscal. Bills should start getting assigned to a Ways & Means subcommittee (because W&M has so many bills)- which is a good sign they may be moving. The pace of bills moving should also be speeding up now as they race to sine die on June 29th
